RUNNING

I run everywhere
But mostly away.

Muscles charged,
Blood pumping,

I am strong.

And through my weakness,
I determine to conquer,

To overcome,
What’s inside.

I run to stay alive.

Very nice poem, Amy. It's so true that exercising really helps you feel better both physically and mentally. I hope to become a great runner like you someday.

i'm glad that you love to run. it's a nice talent to have. i admit that i much prefer running when there's second base or home plate at the end of my sprint, or maybe a basketball hoop. but this probably has something to do with my disease called the "swenson slows."

I am laughing at Vanessa's comment! 'Swenson Slows!'
But, I love this poem. It shows your passion. I don't feel like I see that emotion from you too often, and it is one that I clearly need to reign in a bit, but it's nice to see it. Excellent poem.
